Powerline Bushfire Safety Program

In 2011 the Victorian Government announced a $750 million Powerline Bushfire Safety program (PBSP). The 10-year program will deliver on recommendations (27 and 32) of the 2009 Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission and aims to reduce the risk of bushfires caused by electrical assets without causing significant impact on electricity supply reliability.

Over the past few weeks, we have received calls relating to the Powerline Replacement Fund - Stage 2.  Property owners in Doreen, Research, Diamond Creek and Yarrambat that have bare Private Overhead Power Lines have asked Epping Electrical to assist in their application for funding.

Once approved, the funding provided will remove the overhead powerlines on their property and reduce the fire risk.

Epping Electrical is a registered REC Supplier with the Powerline Replacement Fund.

If you have Private Overhead Lines on your property or know someone who does, funding may be available.  For more information, go to this website.

If you believe you meet the eligibility criteria, but have not received an invitation to apply in the mail, please contact the Program Manager, Powerline Replacement Fund at prf.information@dsdbi.vic.gov.au
